Marma Yogi's grand launch

Kamal's Marma Yogi is all set for a grand launch during the second week of October. Most probably, according to reliable sources, the date could be October 18th if everything goes well. The launch function, incidentally, will be held in Mumbai. It is said that a teaser trailer, which was shot in some exotic foreign locales, will be exhibited at the function to let the audience get a feel of the film.

The shooting of Marma Yogi is slated to begin even before the launch. Sources have it that Kamal Haasan will commence the shooting on September 26th at the Sethsamudram. The heroines of Marma Yogi, which was under speculation for a long while, has now been confirmed to be Trisha and Shriya.

Kajol in Marmayogi???

Everything about Marmayogi seems to be filled with suspense, probably in consonance with its title. Earlier there were reports doing rounds that Padmapriya has been approached for an important role. Now news has surfaced that Kamal Haasan is trying to rope in Kajol to play his on-screen pair. But Kajol had reportedly told him that she would not be available for
shooting outside India. The reason Kajol cites for this is that she finds it impossible to leave her toddler. But according to Kamal, the actress may be required to travel all the way to Switzerland to participate in Marmayogi’s shooting.

About Marmayogi

Marmayogi is a forthcoming bilingual Hindi-Tamil period film, set in the 7th century to be directed by Kamal Haasan, who with Marmayogi, will direct his fourth feature film. Kamal Haasan also acts in the lead role, whilst Hema Malini also plays a role in the film. The film, which is set to become the first Indian feature film produced by Walt Disney Productions, has A. R. Rahman as the music composer. The film, announced with a budget of 120 crore Indian rupees, is set to contest with Rajnikanth's recently announced film, Robot, in a race to be India's most expensive film to date.
