Warmachine is scary good. Though sci-fi it's very real and apropos to these modern times. I'm not even into military stories but found this one exciting, fresh and really relevant mankind's history...yesterday's, today's and tomorrow's.
Anthony Bourne clearly brings realism and experience to the pages of his graphic novella. His illustrations are engaging, as is the story. The reader feels drawn into the plight of these cyborg soldiers and Bourne's military knowledge makes this science fiction story unusually believable. Definitely worth the purchase and the read!
A future world order, a unstoppable fighting force and a conservative amount of hand drawn graphics is what drives this work by new author Anthony Vincent Bourne. This story pulls you in to experience the lives of those created, groomed and trained to kill. This is not a graphic novel in the sense of your standard comic book format, but instead, this is an actual novel peppered with poignant visuals for emphasis. The artwork is done by the author himself, and helps to add a grim face to what is already a sympathetic tale.
